Sort of like the soundtrack to my summer. The small version, because for some reason I've attached memories to a LOT of songs this summer. ( But here's a few, at least :) )

It had to happen at some point, you know. Even though they share the "favorite musicians" spot with many others now, these three  women are the  main reason why I really started listening to music to begin with.

Because I'm going to be incredibly busy for the rest of the week, but have pretty much nothing to do right now, here's my "February 2006" soundtrack. It consists entirely of female artists, and a whole lot of it is folk-y, because I've come to the conclusion that I really, really like all sorts of folk. So yay for that!

Holy cow, Joanna Newsom's coming to Iceland! And tickets are CHEAP. And there's only 400 of them so it'll be a fantastic, intimate performance and I'm SO EXCITED! So to celebrate, and for all of you who're not familiar with her awesomeness...

Whoever the real Auður is (I seem to have lost her somewhere along the way to adulthood - this may be why I'm so reluctant to finish off the whole growing-up process), I really like being her. So I managed to cheer myself up a little bit by listening to all of my favorite Icelandic songs.
